The plain rice is taken with a special dish  'gulai ikan' , some fried vegetables and sambal.
The 'gulai ikan' is cooked with a special taste of sweet, sour and mild chilli flavour gravy giving a very unique and tasteful fish. It's a kind of replacement of fish curry without using any curry powder.
It's one of the favourite breakfast dish in Kelantan alongside with Nasi Kerabu.

Nasi Minyak Ayam Percik

The favourite Nasi Minyak taken with Ayam Percik 
(grilled chiken with creamed gravy) and sweet sour salad.

then taken with fully cooked creamed herbs and spices.

RESEPI AYAM PERCIK




BAHAN-BAHAN MASAKAN
1 sekor ayam yang dipotong 4
1 1/2 cawan santan pekat
2 biji bawang putih
1 labu bwg besar
2 cm halia
2 batang serai
1 sudu kecil ketumbar
1/2 sudu kecil jintan putih
1/2 cawan tepung beras
sedikit air asam jawa@asam keping
sambal cili kering (optional... kalau nak kuah merah)
garam dan gula secukup rasa

CARA-CARA MEMASAK
Blend bawang, halia, serai, ketumbar dan jintan putih untuk dijadikan bahan perap.
Masukkan ayam  kedalam bahan perap selama 30 minit - 1 jam.
Masukkan ayam yang  diperap tadi ke dalam periuk.
Masukkan santan yang digaul dengan tepung beras dan bahan lain (air asam, garam, gula) ke dalam periuk.
Masak ayam selama ayam hampir setengah masak dan kuah naik bau harum bahan perapan.
Masukkan tepung beras untuk menjadikan kuah pekat selama 5 minit.
Angkat ayam bersama sedikit kuah dan masukkan kedalam oven.
Bakar dengan suhu 200 darjah selama 30 minit atau apabila ayam telah bertukar menjadi perang.
Masakkan lebihan bahan perap didalam periuk selama 15 minit.
